EnSAv (Energy Saving Avarness) Club events focuses on developing students technical and professional skills through various training and awareness program. The planned events category under GREEN9 EnSAv club are detailed below.

EnSAv Club Outcome Report

ENSAVER of the month is presented to EnSAV Club members every month by Green9 with the objective of promoting energy conservation with outcome.

Be a leader to save electricity in your surroundings. Switch off the electrical appliances, which you feel unnecessary, but in operation for a longer time. Any other innovative way to reduce energy usage like avoid using lifts, optimal usage of appliances, avoid using AC, etc.. Calculate the units saved and update in GREEN9
APP in the profile page "My Saving".

All the student and faculty members of EnSAV club are eligible to participate.

GREEN9 APP will generate the top five members who saved more units of electricity in the last week of every month. and those five members will be recognized as ENSAVER OF THE MONTH. Also Star ENSAVER, Star plus ENSAVER and Star Gold ENSAVER will be announced in quarterly, half yearly and annual basis respectively.

ENSAVER OF THE MONTH will receive ENSAVER
certificate. Star ENSAVER will receive ENSAVER certificate with five LED bulbs. Starplus ENSAVER will receive certificate with reward of Rs. 1000 and ten LED bulbs, Star Gold ENSAVER will receive award plaque with reward of Rs. 5000 and one super saver fan.

ENSAVER will receive digital certificate through email. Star ENSAVER will receive certificate and two LEB bulbs at any of the club inauguration. Starplus and Star Gold ENSAVER will be felicitated at GREEN9 Awards in Chennai.

Past Events

5k Green Run

5k run was organized on the occasion of World’s Environmental Day by the G9 EnSAv Club, Dr L Bullayya College of Engineering (for women). The run was conducted to create awareness on saving power. The slogan of the event was (1 unit saved = 1 unit generated) and almost 800 students attended on 5 June 2019.

Venue: RK beach (Kalimatha temple to YMCA).

Time : 6AM .

This event was organised by the leadership of Prof Anand Gondesi, HOD EEE.

Energy Conservation Rally with Painting Competition

MGR GREEN9 EnSAv club , Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute partnering with EWB and IEITVLC has conducted “Energy Conservation Rally with Painting Competition” on 15th of March 2019 at Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School, MH Road, Perambur, Chennai-11. The rally was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Balasubramaniyam, Founder, Nallorvattam and delivered motivation talk on Abdulkalam Vision 2020. The rally started from school and marched towards market area, with coverage of 2km. 400 School students, Staffs, Club volunteers & Traffic police officers participated in rally. Awareness created with 400 students, distributed awareness poster and created awareness with 2000 public in Perambur during rally.

ISPARK

Part of energy conservation week 2018 activity Energy Efficient lights were distributed to the village by ISPARK jointly with GREEN9 EnSAv club, Director of ISpark distributed 250 LED lights to 250 houses on 21 Dec 2018.

Energy Conservation Week

Dr. M.G.R G-9 EnSAv Club partenering with IEI, Green-9, EWB (Engineers without Border), Salcamp, and Ispark celebrated energy conservation week in “Guntur Subbiah Pillai Girls higher secondary school” at T. Nagar on 20th Dec 2018. Overall 600 students trained in 9 energy saving Techniques to save one unit per day in the house and participated in rally, created a human chain near to the Perumal temple and taken oth to save “One Unit per day” in their house.
