As part of its energy-saving awareness efforts, the Institution of Green Engineers launched the EnSAv (Energy Saving Awareness) Club in 2016 under the VIBBGGYOR society Energy Efficiency Research Group (GREEN9) , with the first club inaugurated at Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, India.As a result, the club extends its activities across PAN India by opening ENSAVCLUB at academic institutions. This will result in the establishment of 30 clubs by April 2023.With support from dedicated student and staff volunteers, the club is focusing on creating awareness about energy conservation and changing public attitudes towards the need of conservation action.With the primary focus on SDG7 – affordable and clean energy – all activities and events organized by the clubs will align with and focus on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.It is mandatory that club activities be planned and executed according to the IGEN ENSAVCLUB TOOLKIT 2023.Throughout the year, the activities of the clubs will be monitored by the IGEN ENSAVCLUB Organisers team and the STAR Rating outcomes will be presented at the annual meeting of the IGEN ENSAVCLUB held every March.

Procedure to initiate the Establishment of IGEN ENSAVCLUB at Your Institution
Submit the IGEN ENSAVCLUB Membership Form (download link for membership form) to ensavclub@theigen.org
The IGEN Executive team will send an email confirmation to begin club initialization.
Determine which staff and students are interested in membership and submit the IGEN ENSAVCLUB Membership application at https://forms.gle/3EUsG7m6vCAbCD5Q7
Identify a top energy expert from the industry to mentor the ENSAVCLUB and obtain IGEN approval.
Finalize the club council members , profile book and members information as per template (Download Template Below) & submit soft copy @ https://forms.gle/JwydZSHSqguJHbdr8
Ask all the members to join IGEN Membership App @ https://kutumb.app/the-institution-of-green-engineers?ref=JBMIL&screen=id_card_section and receive preliminary IGEN member ID.
Fix the IGEN Guest and Plan for the ENSAVCLUB Inauguration and lease the inaugural poster with reference to the IGEN template in the IGEN ENSAVE FB Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/igengreen9ensavclub
Host the Inauguration program as per the IGEN Schedule and Livestream the Inauguration Ceremony at https://youtube.com/c/IGENSDGplus ( Get Support from IGEN)
Post the inauguration photo and a short write-up in the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/igengreen9ensavclub
Recommend that the Faculty Coordinator join the IGEN ENSAV Ambassador Group and that all members of the student council join the IGEN EnSAV Student Group.
